Serendipity in a nutshell

Hello everybody! I know I have been inconsistent but I am trying! Please be merciful. Anyways, here’s a little poem I cooked up and yeah. Enjoy!

My friends and I have a

Saying.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

“If you swing hard enough, distance

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Doesn’t matter”

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Life requires work and determination.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

We always hear,

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

“If you work hard, it will

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Pay off”

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Well I have been bleeding

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

And working and crying and begging

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

And NOTHING HAS HAPPENED!

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Sayings like these often go to the wind.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Going to the wind seems a lot easier than trying.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

But then I wouldn’t be living by the

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Values and morals and rules that my parents and society

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Have placed on me and everyone like me and it is just a bottomless pit.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Swallowing.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Gasping.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Trying to find the surface but never truly breaking it.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

For it tries to swing to swing and break the speed of light,

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

But nothing can. Only the vacuum of space can stop it.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

So the distance doesn’t matter and nothing matters—

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

Maybe, if I swing hard enough, the distance really doesn’t matter.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

or maybe no one cares. It’s easier if no one cares.

Text within this block will maintain its original spacing when published

I wish I didn’t care.
